CGF is the official governing body for golf in Cyprus. It was formally established in 2000 and is registered with the Cyprus Sports Organisation (KOA) and the Cyprus Olympic Committee (KOE).

 There are FIVE proprietary courses attached to The CGF in Cyprus. Aphrodite Hills, Elea Estate, Minthis Hills, Secret Valley and Vikla. There are 4 golf courses that only have private membership and 3 of those are attached to miliatary establishments, Ayios Nicolaos, Dekhalia and Episkopi. Also a private members club is The International Golf course of Nicosia.
